Barbara Ellen Sorensen lives in Colorado and is former senior editor of the American Indian Science & Engineering Societys (AISES) flagship publication, Winds of Change. Sorensen is a contributing writer to the Tribal College Journal, and a book reviewer for Mom Egg Review. She has had two books of poetry published: Songs from the Deep Middle Brain (Main Street Rag, 2010) and Compositions of the Dead Playing Flutes (Able Muse Press, 2013). Sorensen has a BA in English from the University of Iowa, and a masters degree in creative writing from Regis University in Denver.
